About Working Wardrobes

Working Wardrobes is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals on their journey towards finding gainful employment.  Since 1990, Working Wardrobes has made an indelible mark in the lives of its clients and in the community. The goal of the organization is to positively impact every client’s collective way of life, from economical, emotional, and environmental perspectives. Every year, Working Wardrobes serves approximately 5,000 job seekers by providing no-cost assessments, training and certifications, career coaching, individualized employment plans, and professional wardrobing services.

One of the core principles Working Wardrobes holds dear is the notion that the care and respect they extend to their clients should mirror the support and appreciation their offer our team.  The career readiness services stand on the pillars of individualization and dignity, and they understand that each person who walks through their doors brings with them a unique set of skills, experiences, and needs. It’s this recognition of diversity that allows the organization to provide a genuine hand-up to individuals from all walks of life, irrespective of gender, background, or circumstance.

In 2023, Working Wardrobes was recognized by the L.A. Times as one of the “Top Rated Workplaces in Southern California,” and by the Orange County Register as “Best of Orange County: Non-Profit Organization,” testaments to their unwavering commitment to both their clients and their dedicated staff, and of course, their community.

Working Wardrobes takes pride in being a catalyst for change in the professional lives of individuals, helping them not just find jobs but embark on fulfilling careers. This is made possible by the dedication and hard work of their incredibly mission-driven team, and their community of supporters: folks like you!  You are the driving force behind the success stories and transformations that happen within the organization and local community.

The non-profit has committed itself to the values that define them – compassion, respect, and empowerment.  It’s what motivates them to continue their mission of helping people overcome barriers to gainful employment.  To learn about the ways you can get involved, please email DevelopmentTeam@workingwardrobes.org or visit workingwardrobes.org.
